Wonderful! : Kassel™ Hand - carved Cuckoo Clock
I made a mistake when I wound the clock arms the wrong way; I should have
wound them clockwise, as stated in the instructions.
After I did, the cuckoo stopped sharp and stopped cuckooing.
However, I contacted the seller, contribution to pay for repairs and for shipping.
Jolynn from Unbeatable sales replied promptly; Unbeatable Sales paid for Ups to accumulate the
clock and to return it to their facility. Jolynn communicated many times, through every step.
After they'd received the original clock, I was sent someone else clock, for no added cost.
It works beautifully. I was never concerned in the appearance. I just wanted to hear
the cuckoo and see the bird.
A sensing gadget keeps the cuckoo silent at night. However, because I leave the light on near the bird,
I hear the cuckoo through the night. Because I control the bird during both day and night,
the batteries will need to be changed more than once a year as stated in the instructions.
It does have an echo sound, doubling the quantity of cuckoos, but I just love the small bird and the sound,
day and night.

The complaints about the wrong quantity of cuckoos for the hour, other than echoes, are
from buyers who have failed to understand the mechanism.
It is easy and there is a pattern.
If you press button G, to set the quantity of cuckoos, you will notice that every time you
press G, the bird cuckoos an extra cuckoo (disregard the echo, and count the cuckoos singularly).
Batteries must be inserted.
When you have set the hour hand to the accepted time,
and set the second hand to its accepted time; then, set the
cuckoo, the sound.
When the bird is safely behind the door, somewhere colse to half past the hour,
press button G to set the cuckoo.
How many single cuckoos do you hear after you've pressed G?
Writing the estimate makes it easier in a long sequence, disregard the echoes and count singularly.
If the upcoming hour, for which you have set the clock, will be ten o'clock, then you'll want nine single cuckoos.
Press G, if the bird cuckoos 5 times then, press G, again,
and count the cuckoos, the next will be 6; the following 7; the following eight, etc.
Repeat the same procedure, pause briefly to give the mechanism a rest, and then, do it again, count the
cuckoos until the bird appears and cuckoos 9 times; for when it cuckoos 10 times, that's the hour that you
want, and for that cuckoo, the clock will cuckoo on its own.
So, it legitimately is simple.
I have also observed that the hour hand, the small hand, when adjusted into position, turned clockwise,
can move quicker, after it is set; therefore, what should have been 9 o'clock quickens to 10 o'clock.
But on making an adjustment to the hour hand, the qoute was fixed and the hour hand has stabilized.
The mechanisms are fragile. If treated delicately they work well.
